Winter Brings Us Great Memories

Authors Note: There are many enjoyable things that you can do with your family during the holidays. But the activities that are the most fun, are the ones that you can do with your family. In this poem I wrote about one experience that I had with my sisters during this chilly season, and I think that you can guess what it is!

The fluffy, white snow slowly falls,
As we plow through the banks so tall,
Acting as if it was a brick wall,
We are headed into the yard.

Across the snow banks we ran
To accomplish our secret plan
Of creating a Noble Snowman
The first one we’ll ever make.

We rolled the snow into balls
Stacked up quite tall.
Even though our mother calls,
We decide to continue working.

Playing in this misty fog
We add what would come from a hog,
A warm juicy hot dog
Right where his nose would be.

In the arms and legs would go,
Covered in the white, wintry snow
As we felt the cold wind blow
His body was finished.

Next we gave him a warm wool hat,
All tucked in he was, like a cat.
Sadly it made him look a little fat,
At least he kept quite warm.

We stood back to admire our piece,
It definitely looked like a snowman at least,
All dressed up in that fuzzy fleece,
We actually did it!

We definitely had a lot of fun,
For this snowy battle is won,
Even though we worked a ton,
It’s was quite an experience!
